and the Pig City Porkrollers, Wes Mattheu and the New Way

Reju, Chris Kasper

Lickety Split, Murph's Bar, and many other gracious places.
Things Going Down
in 2008:
Recording. More shows. New set lists. An official logo and
photo (we're very official, but not after 11p.m.). Did we
say more shows?
Things that went down
in 2007:
A shit ton of shows. Our new fiddle player and compatriot,
Claudia Vaughn. Our first home recording. Learning how to
get friends on Myspace (we're all over 30, so cut us a break
here). Playing with some of the coolest musicians in PA and
beyond. Working on our picking, fiddling, and whiskey drinking
while holding down full-time jobs.
Fall 2006: It's still news to us...
Joy gives the performace of her life
and gives birth to a lovely little girl named Isabelle, who
has not yet chosen an instrument. We'll give Isabelle Estelle
a couple of years to get the crying thing down, and then maybe
start her on harmonica, or pot banging. Child labor laws be
damned, this little girl has no chance of not becoming a musician
like her ma.
Sometime in Summer
2005:
Kathleen Pappalardo asked Joy Thiessen who asked Heather Shayne
Blakeslee to be in a country trio. Heather said, "What
if we call ourselves The Estelles?" and so we did. Music
and mayhem continues to ensue.
Folks Who've Been
Especially Supportive:
Derek and the Fire for our first shows, and all the folks
who come to listen when we play. The Pros from Dover, Cowmuddy,
Wes Mattheu and the New Way Down, and The Manatawny Creek
Ramblers...thanks for the shows, the equipment, the recordings,
and the encouragement. Jeremy Ryan for those first Myspace
tunes. Eric Brown for being the best rehearsal babysitter
ever. Tony Jeeter for instruments, powerstrips, and general
good cheer. You guys are la bomba. Really, what would we do
without you?.
